Financial Accountant
£300–£400 per day | Outside IR35

A private equity-backed retail business is seeking an immediately available Interim Financial Accountant to support the finance function during a key reporting cycle. The role requires a technically strong accountant with experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and group consolidations. Experience in retail or hospitality is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports
* Manage and reconcile the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and integrity
* Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaising with auditors
* Produce and review group consolidated accounts
* Ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting requirements
* Assist in process improvements and documentation of financial controls
Candidate Profile:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
* Strong technical accounting background with experience in retail or hospitality
* Proven experience in financial accounting, audit, and external reporting
* Confident preparing group consolidations and liaising with auditors
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Available immediately or on short notice
