MCS Group is delighted to be working with one of Northern Irelands top Manufacturing companies, to recruit a talented Buyer to join their Purchasing team based in Antrim.

I am looking for a buyer, preferably with a manufacturing background.
The successful candidate will be able to excel at both the strategic & functional elements of this key role.
You will be responsible for some key Purchasing commodities, helping to create & implement the overall strategy.
Specific Responsibilities
* To play a lead role in the formulation & implementation of the strategy for the commodities under their control
* To continually seek improvements in purchasing procedures and methods employed in line with the company's strategic growth plans.
* To be responsible for supplier interface including contracting, auditing and analysis, selection/de-selection and development.
* To negotiate the keenest prices at the best quality in all dealings with suppliers.
* To liaise with suppliers on a daily basis and develop strong supplier partnerships.
