Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Structural Steel

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Stocksbridge, specialising in structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and procurement for structural steel fabrication and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost reports for structural steel projects.
* Monitor project expenditure, manage variations, and ensure projects remain within budget.
* Conduct valuations, interim payments, and final account settlements.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to resolve cost and contract issues.
* Review and analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
* Support procurement processes and subcontractor negotiations.
* Maintain accurate cost records and provide regular reports to senior management.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in structural steel or heavy fabrication projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement practices.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong communication skills for client and subcontractor liaison.
* Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Estimator, or similar) and MS Office.
