About the Team:
The Family Help Team work with a range of families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Team is multi-agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, PCSO's and soon NHS Nurse - all working together to meet the holistic needs to our families to reduce risk and keep families together.
We work with families under the principles of Restorative Practice to identify plans which meet each individual family's needs and is used with every family, to help them identify positive change in order to develop a plan that works for them. About the Role:
We are recruiting for the role of a Consultant Social Worker within our Support and Intervention Team covering North Warwickshire on a permanent basis to support the team to ensure delivery of high quality work and support to children and their families. You will be assisting the Team Manager in the safe, efficient and effective delivery of services to Children and families and supervising the practice and decision making of child and family staff as well as developing the skills of individuals.
You will need to be a minimum of 4 years post qualified and have experience of child protection and court work as well as supervising students or mentoring colleagues.

Key Requirements:
8. Monday to Thursday 9am till 5.30pm & Friday 9am till 5pm
9. Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW))
10. In depth experience in children's social work and experience of complex cases
11. Have excellent analytical skills with ability to make well informed decisions
12. Can record and produce concise, effective, and accurate reports
13. Have good communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage with children and families
