Full time. Permanent. Starting date: as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Support and work with our children and their families to promote, strengthen and develop the potential of parents/carers.
* Act as the Designated Officer for Safeguarding & Child Protection; ensure school systems are robust in accurately recording and documenting all cases.
* Work directly with children in need and their families in the community to address issues including domestic arrangements, behaviour, housing and finances.
* Build on strong links with parents to coordinate and deliver support in partnership with key services.
* Be efficient with IT, work as part of a team and on own initiative, while maintaining confidentiality to safeguard all children.
* Maintain high-quality support for pupils and liaise with colleagues in the local authority, external agencies and school partners to support strategic development and share good practice.
* Participate in safeguarding CPD and take advantage of staff development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in safeguarding/child protection or related family support roles.
* Strong communication and liaison skills to work with children, families, and external agencies.
* Ability to work within statutory safeguarding frameworks and maintain confidentiality.
* Team player with initiative and ability to work independently when required.
* Commitment to equality and safeguarding of children.
