An exciting opportunity to join our operation in Nasmyth Bulwell, working for our Supply Chain. Salary: £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Hours: 38 hours per week. Mon - Thurs 8.15am - 5.00pm; Fri 8.00am - 1.00pm.
Job description: Our operation based in Bulwell has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Co-Ordinator Sub-Contract Machining. This is an on-site role supporting the Supply Chain team, with day-to-day management and scheduling of Sub-Contract Machining in both UK and Asia regions, liaising on a daily/weekly basis via teams calls, etc.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with internal stakeholders – Production/customer-facing teams to meet customer demand.
* Liaise with suppliers to confirm or change orders; track orders and ensure timely delivery; update internal databases with order details.
* Prepare KPIs and performance trend analyses.
* Prepare RFQs and transfer plans to potential suppliers for internal strategic offloads to support capacity constraints and cost savings.
* Prepare cost analyses and RFQs on new product introductions (NPI).
* Monitor stock levels, WIP and identify purchasing needs; raise works orders in line with ERP requirements; generate POs; prepare commercial invoices for overseas shipments of materials to suppliers and arrange logistics.
Core Skills / Qualifications
* Work experience in a purchasing/supply chain environment or similar role is ideal but not essential
* Good understanding of supply chain procedures
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
* Strong MS Office knowledge
* Tenacity and initiative
* Degree or 2 years relevant work experience
This is entry into a fast-growing Tier 1 Aerospace supply chain, with a strong focus on personal and career development. The aim of the team is to achieve >95% of goods on time while targeting cost reductions, and to manage a 25-50% increase in spend over the next 2 years.
