How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We are seeking an Accommodation Coordinator to oversee some of our safehouses in South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will manage a female and a male safehouse. Our Accommodation teams provide a safe, secure environment for survivors of modern slavery who have nowhere else to go. Accommodation Coordinators are organized and caring, supporting current caseworkers, guiding and training new staff, and completing administrative duties in line with The Salvation Army Modern Slavery Contract.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage advocates in the team, including interviews, supervisions, appraisals, and leave requests.
2. Act as the first point of contact for the team.
3. Ensure adherence to internal procedures, legislation, and external KPIs regarding Causeway and the Safe House.
4. Support advocates to provide excellent support and advocacy, with effective journey plans towards independence.
5. Implement effective safeguarding measures, both preventative and reactive.
6. Complete weekly management reports and trackers.
7. Report appropriately to the Line Manager in weekly meetings.
8. Organize daily shift operations, including appointments, staffing, and service user needs.
9. Resolve ongoing issues within the accommodation.
10. Oversee Client Management System (CMS) for tracking support hours and case management.
11. Administer advocate and volunteer rotas, petty cash, and stock of welcome packs and donations.
12. Arrange and attend team, staff, and management meetings.
13. Liaise with external service providers, such as cleaning companies.
14. Maintain and develop local service links and contacts.
15. Oversee health and safety checks at the property.
16. Prepare bedrooms, folders, and paperwork for new service users.
17. Implement medication policies and procedures.
18. Ensure cleanliness of staff, service users, and communal areas, managing cleaning rotas.
19. Organize weekly activities for service users and facilitate access to local activities.
20. Encourage feedback from service users and respond to action points.
21. Participate in on-call duties as scheduled.
