Join Our Team as a Complex Care Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Pay: £175 per day + food allowance and travel expenses.
Hours: 24 per week (12 hour shift and sleep in)
About the Role
You’ll be supporting a lady in her 30s who due to a brain injury has complex clinical needs, including right side paralysis, Neuropathic pain, sensitivity to touch and risk of seizures. We're looking for someone with experience in support work and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.
She lives in an adapted bungalow with her husband, is very social and enjoys a wide variety of hobbies & interests such as music, crafting and creative projects, getting out and about to places like the park, zoo, cinema, theatre and ballet. Your role will be to support her physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.
What We’re Looking For
Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a female support worker with:
* A genuine passion for care and making a difference
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
* Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
* Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
Key Responsibilities
* As a support worker, you will:
* Assist with personalised routines, including use of hoists
* Support with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility
* Administer medication and monitor health conditions
* Provide emotional support and companionship
* Maintain accurate care records and report any changes
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members
