Job Title: Finance Functional Consultant (F&O)
Location: Milton Keynes (2 days on site)
Salary: Up to £66,000 (DOE)
I’m working with a global organisation that is looking to appoint a strong finance systems professional to support the design and rollout of its Record to Report (RTR) function within Dynamics 365 across EMEA and APAC.

This is a key role within a wider D365 transformation programme. You’ll partner closely with an Implementation Specialist to co-lead fit–gap workshops, translate business requirements into effective ERP solutions, and help drive process standardisation and optimisation across the finance function.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively, brings deep RTR process knowledge, and wants to play a hands-on role in shaping best-practice processes as part of a global D365 implementation team.
The role operates on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of two days per week onsite in Milton Keynes.
Key Responsibilities Process Design & Implementation
Act as the finance subject matter expert for the design and implementation of RTR processes in D365 F&O
Partner with the Implementation Specialist to maximise out-of-the-box functionality and minimise customisation
Co-lead requirements gathering and fit–gap workshops, documenting current-state processes and designing future-state solutions aligned to a global template and best practice
Produce functional specifications and contribute to solution design sessions to ensure a cohesive ERP architecture
Support configuration and development reviews to confirm alignment with agreed “to-be” processes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of D365 capabilities and proactively contribute ideas and improvementsIssue Resolution
Support application teams with complex functional issues during implementation and post go-live
Drive resolution of cross-functional process challenges in collaboration with key stakeholdersTesting
Develop test scripts and scenarios
Lead functional testing and review outcomes to identify defects and optimisation opportunitiesTraining & Adoption
Create training materials and deliver sessions for key finance processes
Support change management activities and encourage strong user adoption of D365Governance & Continuous Improvement
Maintain process governance, including SOPs and change control
Support post-go-live activities, monitor performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvementExperience & Skills
Proven experience in business process mapping and process design
Hands-on functional experience across the Dynamics 365 Record to Report area (e.g. GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Credit & Collections, Cash Management)
ERP implementation experience as a business analyst or finance SME is advantageous but not essential
Experience supporting or leading process change and continuous improvement initiatives
Willingness to travel internationally on occasion, as required
