What's the Opportunity
Our recent growth has created an opportunity for experienced and well-rounded Chartered/Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in either our Bristol or Cardiff offices to support our planning and engineering teams across our project portfolio.
The role requires experience in specifying, managing, and interpreting geotechnical investigations, geotechnical assessments, and the specification and design of geotechnical solutions. The role typically involves supporting our civil and structural disciplines on wider commissions within the business, both within the UK and internationally. As required, some projects (within the UK) are standalone ground engineering commissions, or in support of pre-planning design development planning consent. We work on an Agile working policy and the expectation is for you to work in the office three office days per week.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
Typical project deliverables include:
1. Drafting of Ground Investigation Reports (geotechnical elements)
2. Proof of concept checks.
3. Minning legacy assessments and specification of mitigation measures
4. ULS and SLS analysis for foundations
5. Slope stability analysis
6. Earthworks Settlement Analysis
7. Earthworks Specifications
8. Cutting design (including soil nails, anchors of rock bolts)
9. Embankment design ...
