Light Commercial Vehicle Technician required in Exeter:
1. Franchised Main Dealer
2. Monday to Friday 2 (day) shift patterns
3. 1-in-6 Saturdays mornings at 1.5x overtime
4. Salary basic starting at £33,000 rising with manufacturer training
5. OTE £40,000

We are representing a highly reputable main dealership located in Exeter, known for our commitment to quality and excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of van vehicles. You will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
Responsibilities of a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician:
8. Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations.
9. Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair.
10. Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
11. Inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety.
12. Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
Requirements for this Light Commercial Vehicle Technician role:
13. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.
14. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
15. Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
16. Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
17. NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and repair or equivalent
