We are hiring a Security Officer at Securitas in Newark, UK. This role involves patrols, searches, record‑keeping, communication, and customer service.
Location: Newark, UK
Pay: £12.71 per hour (Overtime Available)
Hours
Shift 1 – Nights Only
Wednesday to Sunday.
60 hours per week.
Shift 2 – Mixed Days & Nights
Saturday & Sunday – Day Shifts.
Monday & Tuesday – Night Shifts.
42 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Active Patrols: Regularly patrol designated areas to detect and deter suspicious activity.
* Thorough Searches: Conduct detailed searches following company policies and procedures.
* Detailed Record‑Keeping: Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork related to security incidents and observations.
* Effective Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and external authorities to report incidents and coordinate responses.
* Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to employees, visitors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
* Valid SIA licence.
* Driving licence or reliable transport links.
* Experience at gate houses.
* Physically fit for site patrolling.
* Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
* Right to work in the UK with a five‑year checkable history.
* Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
