Role Snapshot / Features
Interpret construction drawings; prepare detailed, competitive technical schedules/quotes.
Provide basic calculations to current standards with support from an internal structural team.
Issue cost variations for live projects; keep trackers/files accurate.
Lead & develop Design Engineers: set expectations, delegate, review performance.
Run clear handovers to the project team when orders land.
Build customer relationships via calls/emails; attend office/site meetings as required.
Deliver product presentations and occasional site-installation training.
Champion Health & Safety; maintain quality and compliance in all outputs.
You'll Need
Several years' experience in a construction estimating/technical role.
Proven leadership and people-management skills.
Strong analytical/problem-solving; commercially aware and target-driven.
Confident interpreting drawings; sound knowledge of construction processes/standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
Excellent communication and organisation.
