This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role as a Workshop Controller.
You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop, managing resources and monitoring staff and workshop performance to maintain high standards.
As a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for allocating work to technicians based on their skills and resolving customer queries in accordance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
We are looking for a strong communicator who can take a customer-focused approach to their work and also have the ability to influence others to achieve success.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge gained in the retail motor industry, along with previous management experience in a similar role. Alternatively, a technician looking to progress may also be considered.
The successful applicant will have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, be able to take initiative and ownership of issues, and demonstrate a proactive 'can-do' attitude.
They will also be able to multi-task and switch between tasks efficiently, be a team player who offers help and support to others, and be willing to learn and keep up-to-date with product and technical information.
In addition, they will thrive in a high-pressure environment, hold a full valid UK driving licence, and be eligible to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will establish and achieve personal objectives as agreed with the Group Aftersales Manager.
They will also ensure that the customer reception and displays meet the manufacturer's quality objectives and that staff are developed to achieve maximum customer and own satisfaction.
