DNA are looking for Extrusion Operators for our client based in Oldham, Working a rotating shift pattern Days/afternoons/nights This is an exciting Temp to Perm Opportunity Role: Monitoring and running all Extrusion profile process equipment Pre-use safety checks of all equipment and PPE Picking and allocation of correct raw materials and packaging Cleaning and assembly of all Extrusion tooling Fault finding and problem solving of all aspects of Extrusion process Inspect and check all extruded product to agreed specification and drawings To safely assemble, pack and identify extruded profiles to the customer requirement Monitor and capture Extrusion process data Assist the overall Extrusion Team to achieve the day-to-day department business and service targets Involvement in problem solving of complaints Cooperate with all internal departments Highlight any product/problems and be involved in Continuous improvementsThe Ideal candidate will have Experience in the below Extrusion profile processing & setting PVC polymer processing knowledge Extrusion tooling and mechanical experienceJob requirements High levels of moving and handling, which will include bending and stooping High manual tasks, lifting products below 25kg High levels of manual dexterity High use of manual hand tools Moderate use of safety equipment including PPE Standing for high duration of shift Hours Working Hours The Extrusion department operates on a 24-hour period between 6am Monday to 12.00 noon Saturday. Employees work on annualised hours which are set into a fixed, 7 week rotating 3 shift cycle comprising 6 weeks work and 1 week off. Start and finish times for each shift pattern are as follows: 6 - 2 sat 05.50 - 14.00 Mon to Fri & 05.50 - 12.00 Sat 10 - 6 21.50 - 06.00 2 - 10 E 13:50 - 22.00 (13.30 start Mon only) Salary The starting salary for this position is £27,476.80, which rises to £29,036.80 (typically after probation period has been successfully completed Interested please apply today for immediate consideration
