A client of ours in the Braintree area are recruiting a Commercial Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and paying £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience. This role provides key commercial and administrative support to both the Finance and Projects departments, helping to ensure accurate financial control on project delivery. Reporting to the FD, key duties include but are not limited to: Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly applications for payment and valuations to main contractors Tracking and recording variations, client instructions and change orders, ensuring that commercial records are kept fully up to date. Raising client invoices for works completed. Chasing Payment Notices, Payment Certificates and outstanding payments. Maintaining accurate records of retention, contra-charges and payment notices Assisting with insurance and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) required by main contractors. Support the preparation of project handover documentation, including warranties, O&M manuals and completion records. Raise purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers Process and check subcontractor invoices against purchase orders, quotations and variation works Process and check supplier invoices against purchase orders Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Commercial Administrator position: Previous experience within the building and construction industry Proficient in using Microsoft packages Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects Knowledge of CIS tax, DRC VAT treatment and payment notice process desirable If you feel like you meet the above criteria & would like to be considered for this Commercial Administrator position please apply with your CV. officejobs
