We require passionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This role is ideal for someone experienced in working with students who may presentchallenging behaviourand require additional support in both academic and social settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted 1:1 and group support to students with additional needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour
* Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, while fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment
* Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and behaviour support plans
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other support staff to create a consistent and structured learning experience
* Encourage student independence, social development, and self-confidence through innovative and engaging approaches
* Adapt quickly to changing classroom situations and proactively manage emerging issues
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
* Ability to take initiative and be proactive in supporting the diverse needs of students
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
* Experience in working in an educational setting or special education
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or behaviour management
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (support can be provided in obtaining this)
Job Specification
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

* NVQLevel 2 Teaching Assistant
* NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

* Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
* Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
* Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
