High Skills Technician- Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Location: Uxbridge Salary: £31,632 to £33,621 per annum, including London Weighting. Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Uxbridge College offers excellent Engineering facilities, making this an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful team. The High Skills Technician for Electrical/Electronic Engineering supports our higher education delivery and the West London Institute of Technology, which offers a range of higher education programmes.
Responsibilities
* Work within the Electrical/Electronic Engineering area including the Power and Robotics Lab, PLCs and Mechatronics Lab, Electronics Lab and LN Experiments Lab.
* Provide assistance to lecturers in preparing equipment and resources for teaching and learning.
* Maintain tools and equipment to an efficient level and carry out risk assessments, ensuring all aspects of health and safety are complied with.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
* At least 2 years’ experience with electrical equipment, PLCs, robotics and mechatronics.
* Experience and ability to use higher education software such as Multisim, Matlab, PLC, Verilog, LabVIEW, C programming.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements and the ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
