The Role
* Drive and support the improvement of cybersecurity systems and information within the Air organization by providing operational support for cyber assurance during the design, implementation, and post-implementation stages of new applications and systems.
* Support activities to enhance the management and mitigation of cyber risks for the Air organization.
* Work under general direction within a clear accountability framework, exercising autonomy and discretion in resolving complex issues.
* Coordinate and schedule reviews during the design acceptance phases, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
* Assist in producing and maintaining performance measures and KPIs for cyber assurance services.
* Engage with colleagues, influence stakeholders, and make decisions impacting routine work and project stages.
* Investigate, define, and resolve complex issues, applying innovative thinking and approaches.
Main Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with cybersecurity policies and assess risks to digital capabilities.
* Coordinate progress of Cyber Design Assurance requests using Jira for documentation and approval tracking.
* Conduct initial assessments and support the preparation of security documentation for assurance requests.
* Design IT systems to meet security and functional requirements according to standards.
* Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the assurance process.
* Support stakeholder reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the cyber assurance process.
* Develop and maintain reporting metrics and KPIs to evaluate service performance.
* Promote design assurance practices and support strategic alignment within the Cyber Team.
Person Specification
Knowledge:
* Understanding of the Air Sector business environment.
* Experience in an IT function and knowledge of emerging cyber requirements.
Skills:
* Basic experience in delivering IT projects and objectives.
* Experience in program and project management, including budget management.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a similar role or environment.
