Overview
We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Savill Kitchen, located within The Savill Garden Visitor Centre in Great Windsor Park. Savill Kitchen houses a large restaurant and three cafés. We serve a seasonal menu with British classics from locally sourced ingredients in the restaurant, and a range of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and carbon‑neutral coffee in the cafés.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the customer experience is maintained to the highest standard from front and back of house.
* Continuously improve sales and customer service through staff training and efficient processes.
* Lead marketing initiatives to attract new customers.
* Support our farm‑to‑fork plans and lead the Summer Festival of Food programme.
* Deal effectively with customer complaints.
* Liaise with kitchen, bar and floor staff to ensure food and service meet expected standards.
* Support and manage team performance through ongoing evaluations, listening, training and mentoring.
* Deputise for the general manager in their absence or when required.
* Ensure high levels of food safety and health & safety are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
* High‑volume restaurant experience in a management role.
* Experience managing a busy, full‑table service restaurant.
* Experience implementing training with a team.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.
* Astute financial and commercial awareness to ensure continued success of the site.
* Passion for great customer service.
Salary and Working Conditions
Salary: £38,000 per annum + tronc (£1,000 to £4,000) + bonus and benefits.
Shifts: 5 days out of 7, including most weekends and school holidays.
Contract: Full‑time, permanent.
