Purpose of Role
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Facilities Manager for our client based in Cathays Park, Cardiff.
Job Description
The Assistant Facilities Manager will support the Facilities Manager in managing the day-to-day delivery of FM services to the client, overseeing both in-house and outsourced resources.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with PPM planning and liaise with service partners.
2. Respond to reactive client needs.
3. Assist with quality and performance management of all services.
4. Provide first-line supervision for key on-site services, including reception, cleaning, and waste management.
5. Conduct absence reviews, manage holiday requests, and promote staff wellbeing through effective people management.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, service users, and external partners.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Strong IT and administrative skills.
* Welsh language skills are preferable.
* Relevant facilities management qualifications are beneficial; training will be provided.
* Successful Counter Terrorism Check required before starting work.
