Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to take on an important part-time role within our multidisciplinary inherited bleeding disorders team. You will work with physiotherapy, nurse and medical colleagues in a pan-BCU service to enhance the health and psychological wellbeing of people affected by inherited bleeding disorders. There are strong connections to parallel services in South Wales, the Haemophilia Psychology Association, Haemophilia Wales, and the North Wales Doctoral Clinical Psychology Training Course. Main duties of the job In addition to providing psychological assessment and interventions, the post holder will work collaboratively with service colleagues to foster service access and engagement, and thereby optimise the health care experience of service users. Leadership opportunities exist for service development, and consultation, teaching and support of colleagues. There are also opportunities to collaborate cross-speciality for the benefit of the population the service supports e.g. with colleagues working in gynaecology and obstetrics. Continuing professional development, research and the trainee support will also be encouraged. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
