QA Test Engineer (DevSecOps& Integration Testing)

Overview
Our Manchester-based client is seeking an experiencedQA Test Engineerto join a growing technology team delivering innovative digital solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of applications through comprehensive testing across web interfaces, integrations, and end-to-end business processes.
This role requires a hands-on tester with experienceoperatingwithinDevSecOpsenvironments, supporting the full software delivery lifecycle, and collaborating closely with developers, product teams, and end users.
Experience withAgentic AI solutions, AI agents, or autonomous workflowswould beadvantageousbut is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
2. Performweb interface (UI) testingtovalidatefunctionality, usability, and performance.
3. Conductintegration testingto ensure seamless communication between applications, APIs, and third-party systems.
4. Executeend-to-end (E2E) testingacross complex business workflows.
5. Support and coordinateUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)activities with business stakeholders.
6. Work within aDevSecOpsframework, ensuring quality and security are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
7. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through to resolution.
8. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define acceptance criteria and quality standards.
9. Contribute to test automation initiatives whereappropriate.
10. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives within Agile delivery teams.
11. Support release validation and production readiness activities.
Required Skills & Experience
12. Proven experience as aQA Tester,Test Engineer, orSoftware Test Analyst.
13. Strong understanding ofDevSecOpsprinciples and practices.
14. Experience testingweb-based applications and user interfaces.
15. Demonstrable experience inintegration testingacross APIs, services, and third-party platforms.
16. Strong background inend-to-end testingof complex business processes.
17. Experience supporting andfacilitatingUser Acceptance Testing (UAT).
18. Knowledge of defect management and test management tools.
19. Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
20. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills
21. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
22. Exposure to cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
23. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
24. Experience testing AI-enabled applications orAgentic AI solutions.
25. Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.
