We are looking for an experienced developer to build a Windows desktop application for real-time monitoring and quality control in a wire harness production environment. The app should support multi-user login, machine assignment, traceability of production steps, and validation of quality tests (crimp height, stripping, tensile strength, photo capture, etc.). It must integrate with: External devices (via COM and HID – e.g. crimp comparator, barcode scanner, microscope camera) Local folder monitoring (for photo import) A centralized MySQL database (logging all events and results) A REST API (to retrieve wire data) The app should include: Operator & quality agent workflows Label printing & barcode verification Modular UI (with configuration via .env file) Event logging, test scheduling, and version control Preferred Tech Stack: Backend: Python FastAPI Frontend: PySide6 (Qt for Python) Database: MySQL We are also open to other reliable stacks like Electron.js / React Node.js MySQL, depending on your expertise.
