Spire Hull Hospital is looking to recruit a Bank Medical Secretary Administrator to join our team and support our valued Consultants in providing a high quality service. Job Purpose: To provide an efficient and effective clerical service to the medical secretariat, liaising with members of the department to provide a quality service to all clients. ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: File consultant/patient notes within the medical secretariat and archive filing systems. Undertake regular maintenance of consultant/patient notes and arrange for retrieval/return of same and filing of results where required. Return notes from outside sources. Deal with internal/external post distribution, collation of invoices to be mailed to insurance companies and franking of mail. Also the distribution of post/messages to consultants not provided with full secretarial services and any other duties as per consultant request. Deal with telephone queries in an appropriate manner maintaining a customer focus. Liaising with secretaries and imaging regarding support with requesting relevant x-rays/images/scans to be available on the system (IEPs) for appointments or as appropriate. Maintain good working relationships within the secretariat, other departments within the hospital and with consultants. Tracking and tracing medical records, filing & archiving as necessary QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Excellent communication skills.
