About Us: Located in the vibrant and diverse communities of Outer London, St Raphaels Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care to patients and families across Merton and Sutton. Our multidisciplinary teams support people in our inpatient unit, in their own homes, and through community-based services in partnership with local NHS providers and the wider Integrated Care System (ICS). As demand for high quality palliative care grows and health services across London evolve, we are seeking an exceptional Clinical Director to shape our clinical strategy, strengthen our leadership, and drive innovation in care.
Main duties of the job
The Role: St Raphael's Hospice is searching for a Clinical Director who is available as soon as possible, to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all hospice clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and person-centred palliative and end-of-life care. The postholder is responsible for clinical governance and the operational performance of services, ensuring they meet the needs of the diverse Outer London population, comply with CQC standards, and align with national and local (ICS-level) priorities. The Clinical Director works collaboratively with the Medical Director, who provides senior medical leadership and expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Strategic Leadership. Clinical Governance and Quality. Service Delivery and Development. Workforce Leadership. Clinical Practice. External Partnerships and Systems Engagement. We are offering this opportunity as a permanent role, however we need the right person to start as soon as possible, so we would be interested to hear from people who are available in an Interim capacity to help sure up our team urgently.
