We are looking for two individuals to join us on a fixed term basis for a period of 12 months, based in Darlington. We support hybrid and flexible working for this role, there will be a mix of office and remote working.

The role
The HR Coordinator at Railpen ensures smooth HR operations and support throughout the colleague life cycle. As the first point of contact, you will provide prompt and accurate information about HR policies and procedures, ensuring colleagues are well-supported. You will coordinate all elements of new colleagues onboarding, and maintain accurate colleague records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, identifying process improvements, and collaborating with HR, payroll, and other departments around the business.
You will be responsible for the overall HR administrative support and compliance of all HR related colleague lifecycle changes, including but not limited to onboarding, changes to terms and conditions, benefits & leavers via Workday HR system. Additionally, you will engage in cross-functional projects and enhancing HR processes and systems, including being involved in system testing. Collaborating with various teams to drive HR objectives and support the wider goals of Railpen will be an integral part of your role. Furthermore, this position will enable you to further develop your HR expertise and gain valuable experience working with a leading pension fund organisation.

The person
You will be a collaborator with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders within both HR and across Railpen, possessing a proactive approach and striving to make improvements across HR processes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is key to ensure the data provided is valid. This role requires you to be detail-focused, with the ability to articulate complex information verbally and in writing to all levels of the business. Experience in processing end-to-end employee lifecycle activities is advantageous.
