Overview
Accounts and Payroll Specialist role at ACCA Careers in Brighton. This permanent position offers an opportunity for an individual with experience across ledger and payroll.
Responsibilities
* Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Maintain and update payroll records, addressing queries from internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage the purchase ledger, including processing invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
* Ensure accurate and efficient payment runs for suppliers.
* Assist in preparing payroll and purchase ledger reports for management review.
* Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to support month-end processes.
* Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial data.
* Identify and implement process improvements within payroll and purchase ledger functions.
Profile / Qualifications
* Previous experience in payroll processing and purchase ledger management.
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and payroll systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
