Full-time role - September 2025 - Experience working with children essential We are currently seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant to work at an average sized Primary School in Burnley. The role is designed to ensure engagement with learning and to manage the sometimes-challenging behaviour. The successful candidate would be required to support the individual child within the classroom setting. The child does present SEMH needs and sometimes presents challenging behaviour. The appointed practitioner must therefor be confident in deescalating behaviour and keeping the pupil focused and engaged. The school are keen to appoint someone with school or education-based experience within a similar role. In is quintessential that the appointed person is able to quickly establish a positive relationship with the student and is ready to hit the ground running. The school itself is of average size and can be easily accessed by car and public transport. You would work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to provide the best support possible; the Head Teacher is also incredibly supportive and has expressed a willingness to help the right candidate with their transition into the role in anyway possible.
