Location: Surrey (GU23 7JY) – Plumb Centre

Role Overview
As a Branch Supervisor based in Surrey, you will be responsible for assisting the Branch Manager with day‑to‑day operations, supervising staff, serving customers, building rapport with customers and suppliers, and handling general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Branch Manager with day‑to‑day running and operations within the branch.
* Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Serve customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
* Build rapport with customers and suppliers, respond to queries, and process sales.
* Perform general warehouse duties including goods in & out, picking, and packing customer orders.
Working Hours
Full time, permanent – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and Saturday on a rota basis 08:00–12:00.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Previous industry or merchant experience preferred.
* Prior experience in a face‑to‑face customer service/sales environment.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
* Some warehouse knowledge.
* Team player who can take on diverse tasks to ensure the branch runs smoothly.
* Willingness to step up and run the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
* Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
* Comfortable lifting heavy items.
