Overview
Our client, a leading MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based at RAF Brize Norton, works in partnership with a major aerospace and defence provider to deliver dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. Operating from a state-of-the-art 24,000m², three-bay facility, their highly skilled and flexible team ensures maintenance is carried out to the highest standards.
Job Purpose
This role is key to maintaining a standard interpretation of task cards in line with the A400M OMP maintenance requirements. You’ll ensure AMOS Task Cards meet MAA RA’s and internal procedures, supporting critical and complex maintenance activities. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to establish and maintain job card standards across production support areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Become an expert in aircraft AMOS job card creation and related workflows.
* Maintain knowledge of production capabilities and certification requirements.
* Interpret customer and OEM technical documentation, accurately transferring information into AMOS job cards via Template Manager.
* Create, modify, update, and revise all AMOS job card templates to the latest revisions in line with agreed standards.
* Ensure compliance with MAA RA Part 145 in planning and job card creation.
* Continuously improve job card quality and consistency.
* Identify CDCCL, AD, CPCP, duplicate inspection and other critical tasks.
* Review RAF OMP revisions and define required access, work scope highlights, component change tasks, and maintenance data.
* Liaise with quality teams for job card requirements and customer certification needs.
* Support maintenance planning process improvements in collaboration with Planning Engineers.
* Provide training on job card standards where required.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain open communication and effective relationships.
* Support internal and external audits, providing solutions to findings.
* Deputise for Planning Engineers when required, including WP creation.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* University Degree / Diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
* Recognised technical apprenticeship or training.
* Experience in writing or transcribing work instructions.
* Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
* AMOS key user level experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with a commitment to deadlines and high work standards.
* Good awareness of aviation safety and health & safety regulations.
* Aircraft maintenance experience in a Part 145 environment.
* Minimum 3 years in a technical support role within aviation (military or civil).
* Understanding of the maintenance production process.
* Knowledge of maintenance data, aircraft legislation, MAA regulations, technical documentation, and drawings.
