Job Overview: We are looking for a proactive IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our organisation's IT infrastructure while assisting with user support and helping strengthen our cyber security posture The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line technical support across Woodside Logistics Group, ensuring the effective day-to-day administration, maintenance, and reliability of Group IT hardware and software. The role supports infrastructure, business applications, and end users across a multi-site UK and Ireland environment, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, hardware configuration, and ongoing IT improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role that underpins operational continuity and system performance across all divisions and sites. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day 1st and 2nd line IT and infrastructure support across a multi-site environment in the UK and Ireland. Escalate complex issues to Senior IT team members or external system providers where appropriate. Utilise the IT Helpdesk system to log, manage, and administer user tickets, supporting KPI reporting and service performance monitoring. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networked hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, and peripheral equipment. Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Woodside business applications, including TMS (Transport Management Systems), EDI platforms, financial systems, and related software, ensuring effective day-to-day operational support. Support Windows Server administration, including Active Directory and Group Policy management. Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra, Microsoft Copilot, and associated applications. Set up and configure hardware and software for new starters and departmental changes. Support mobile device management across the Group. Accurately record, track, and document IT support activities and resolution processes. Travel occasionally to UK and Ireland sites as required to provide on-site support. Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across all divisions. Operate in line with organisational policies, procedures, and IT governance standards. Contribute positively to team objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Undertake any other reasonable duties aligned to the role, as required. Essential Criteria: Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT discipline. Ability to work well under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work both individually and as part of a larger team. Keen interest in both current and emerging technologies. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar IT Support, Systems Administrator, Infrastructure can include 1 year's placement as part of University Degree Course. Ability to work outside of normal working hours during periods of system maintenance. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of ISO Requirements and Structure Exposure to multi-site networking including VPNs and Cloud. Knowledge & experience within Backup & Recovery environments. Familiarity with endpoint security tools.
