Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a degree in a relevant engineering subject such as Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation and Control. We would value a formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH, although it is not essential. We require a full UK driving licence due to the travel involved. We are looking for prior experience working with industrial control systems, ideally Siemens PCS7 or TIA Portal. We need hands-on experience with control system integration, HMI/SCADA systems, and field instrumentation. We expect proficiency in control logic development for PLC/DCS systems and system design. We are looking for familiarity with industrial protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, OPS, and Ethernet/IP. We would prefer an experienced Automation and Controls Engineer who is comfortable with UK and occasional international travel. Responsibilities: We will rely on you to provide technical assistance, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for control systems, including Siemens PCS7 platforms. We will expect you to implement and configure control system upgrades to meet changing operational needs. We will ask you to resolve complex hardware, software, network, and field instrumentation issues to reduce downtime and improve reliability. We will need you to support the commissioning and start-up of new control systems through hardware setup, software configuration, and system integration. We will expect you to deliver customer training and ongoing technical support on system operation, maintenance procedures, and safety compliance. We will need you to report to the Department Manager and support matters across our UK fleet of Energy from Waste Power Station assets, with occasional global involvement.
