Job Overview
We are seeking two talented and passionate cook/chef to join our teams at MADE @ No 18 and The Moot Bar. There will be an opportunity to be based at one of our venues with the expectation you will be able to cover shifts at the other venue. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to create delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. As a Chef/Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining excellent food safety practices.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all food is prepared on time and to the highest quality
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
* Assist in training junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food preparation methods
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

* Chef/Cook: 1 year (preferred)
