Senior Planning Engineer – NEC4 / Infrastructure / Primavera P6
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: £75,000–£85,000 base + £6,000 car allowance + bonus + private medical + pension + travel expenses
OTE Package Value: ~£90k+
Join a leading consultancy at the forefront of UK infrastructure delivery. We're hiring a Senior Planning Engineer to manage the planning lifecycle of large-scale civil engineering and highways projects, primarily under NEC4 contracts.
You'll play a critical role in building and managing detailed cost-loaded programmes, assessing contract risk, and driving collaborative planning practices across high-impact schemes.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Build and maintain detailed Primavera P6 programmes across all project phases
* Manage change control, EOT claims, and compensation events in line with NEC4 contracts
* Lead contract and programme reviews, supporting commercial teams with delay analyses
* Generate clear, insightful reports using Power BI and advanced planning tools
* Facilitate collaborative planning sessions with subcontractors, clients, and delivery teams
* Conduct risk-based assessments and provide insight into H&S impacts of client actions
* Support lean delivery initiatives to improve efficiency and predictability
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in infrastructure or civil engineering (e.g. highways, rail, utilities, major civils)
* Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and NEC3/NEC4 contract administration
* Commercial awareness and experience supporting claims, CE assessments, and programme impacts
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills
* Proficiency in Power BI or similar data/reporting tools is desirable
* Ability to lead planning activities across multiple stakeholders and project partners
