Opportunity to work in one of the largest Women’s Health Services in Scotland. NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a skilled and dynamic consultant to join our award-winning Obstetrics and Gynaecology team. We are conveniently located in central Scotland with ready access to Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as the Highlands and the Borders.
This vacancy is based at University Hospital Wishaw, which provides all inpatient obstetric and gynaecological care for the population of Lanarkshire. The post is for a Gynaecologist with special interest in benign Gynaecological surgery and office Gynaecology. The precise job plans will be tailored to the skills of the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
Providing inpatient obstetric and gynaecological care, performing benign surgical procedures, conducting office Gynaecology, and contributing to quality improvement, patient safety, medical education, research & development. Applicants may propose additional SPA time for activities such as human factors training, acting as an Appraiser, teaching medical students, and other areas that demonstrate commitment to service improvement.
