Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for hospitality and events? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation and excellence are at the heart of everything you do?

Goodwood is seeking a results-led Business Development Director to help drive the growth of our iconic events portfolio. In this senior role, you’ll be responsible for delivering targeted B2B and B2C new business initiatives, building lasting client relationships, and positioning Goodwood as the go-to destination for unforgettable experiences.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategy

1. Develop and execute long-term new business strategies to meet ambitious targets
2. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure a healthy pipeline of private and corporate clients
3. Analyse sales data to optimise performance and protect margin
4. Identify strategic partnerships and networking opportunities to expand market reach

Team & Culture

5. Champion a high-performing, collaborative sales culture
6. Drive initiatives to improve general sales processes and procedures

Stakeholder Engagement

7. Provide regular updates to the Sales Director and key stakeholders
8. Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment
9. Influence pricing and product positioning through market insights

Sales Tools & Reporting

10. Maintain accurate CRM records and utilise tools to manage pipeline effectively
11. Support regular reporting and financial forecasting

Industry Representation

12. Represent Goodwood at trade events and exhibitions
13. Be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador at all Goodwood events

What you’ll bring:

14. Proven success in Hospitality Sales or Business Development
15. Expertise in B2B and B2C face-to-face sales
16. Strong track record of growing key accounts and increasing revenue
17. CRM proficiency and commercial acumen
18. Excellent stakeholder engagement, including C-suite and HNWIs
19. Ability to identify and close sales opportunities
20. Strategic networking and relationship-building skills
21. Experience in luxury brands is a plus
