About the Client
Age: 37
Medical conditions: Autism and epilepsy
Jodi is non‑verbal but is able to communicate his wants and needs. He enjoys jigsaw puzzles, painting, cooking and crafts. He is physically able and can undertake most activities with appropriate support and encouragement.
Work Environment
The client's home is smoke‑free and pet‑free. No smoking is permitted. The carer will have access to a staff room for sleeping and will be provided with transport during working hours. The carer should provide their own food and bedding.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL:
* Fluent English (spoken)
* Full driving licence (manual car)
* First Aid knowledge or willingness to obtain certification
* Confidence in the kitchen
* Ability to swim
* Ability to work independently and amuse oneself without conversation
* Ability to identify and pursue activities independently when not engaged in structured tasks
