Premises, Health & Safety and Security Manager

Who we’re looking for:
An experienced professional with a background in premises management including hard and soft facility management, health and safety and security.
What you’d be doing:
We are seeking an experienced manager to support the management of our estate. This is a key role responsible for ensuring our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standards, while delivering a safe and secure environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Premises Management:
* Oversee hard facilities management (building fabric, mechanical and electrical systems).
* Manage soft facilities services (cleaning, waste management, grounds maintenance).
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
Health & Safety:
* Act as the lead for health and safety across the estate.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement robust safety procedures.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies.
Security:
* Manage security operations to safeguard people, property, and assets.
* Develop and maintain emergency response and business continuity plans.
* Liaise with external agencies and contractors to ensure effective security measures.
The Premises, Health & Safety and Security Manager has a wide portfolio to ensure our premises are to an exceptional standard and our campus is a compliant and safe environment for all. The postholder will lead the operative’s team within the campus department to provide a professional, customer focussed, compliant, cost-effective and environmentally sustainable service to support the University core objectives and campus plan.
