Senior Library Administrator (Events and Outreach)
Passionate about libraries and people? We’re looking for a proactive Senior Library Administrator to contribute to the effective and successful operation of the library within the Westhill community - delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service that supports continuous improvement. In addition to core responsibilities, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the library’s events, outreach, marketing and social media activity, helping to strengthen community engagement and raise the profile of the service locally and across Aberdeenshire.
Working alongside the existing Senior Library Administrator, and reporting directly to the Area Librarian, the postholder will take the lead in planning, promoting and delivering events, developing outreach initiatives, and coordinating local and national promotional campaigns within their community.
The post holder will support customer engagement and act as a first point of contact for enquiries related to their area of responsibility, and contribute to the welcoming, inclusive environment that characterises Aberdeenshire’s library service.
The role involves interpreting and sharing performance information, maintaining accurate records, and modelling a positive, approachable and community-focused ethos.
The role may require weekend and evening working.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
