Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Tameside Council's Fostering Team. This is a full time role offering a fantastic pay rate of £35 per hour.

Responsibilities:
11. You will assess, supervise and support Friends and Family Foster Carers and prospective Special Guardians.
12. Prioritise safeguarding and placement stability whilst ensuring practice is regulatory compliant and improving experiences and outcomes for children and young people.
13. You will be a team player and innovative problem solver.
14. Provide high-quality social work practice to improve outcomes for children.
15. Undertake comprehensive Fostering and SGO assessments of prospective Carers.
16. Supervise and support foster carers in meeting the needs of looked after children.
17. Recognise strengths, vulnerabilities and attitude to change to help keep children, young people and their families healthy, happy and safe.
18. Ensure child-focussed assessments clearly bring out the voice of the child and they are reviewed regularly.
19. Manage a complex caseload.
20. Build and maintain close working relationships with partners including Start Well, education services, police and the NHS.
21. Maintain up to date, detailed and accurate records of all cases through Liquid Logic and other recording tools, ensuring these are purposeful and jargon free.
22. Attend court as and when necessary.
23. Contribute to the overall development of services for children and their families.
24. Embrace opportunities to learn, grow and develop your Social Work career.
25. Uphold and promote the high standards of the social care profession.
26. Ensure you operate within GDPR guidelines by regularly reviewing data held and destroying information in line with retention schedules.
Requirements:
27. Social Work Degree
28. Social Work England registered
29. Enhanced DBS
