This is the ideal next step for someone with a strong teaching background who is ready to lead a team, develop a curriculum, and ensure every learner has the opportunity to succeed. The Role You’ll be responsible for leading a specific college site, combining classroom teaching with leadership and operational responsibilities. You’ll oversee the education provision, support staff development, and help drive forward an ambitious, inclusive curriculum. What to expect * Teach 2 days a week — delivering Functional Skills (Maths/English) or another subject aligned with the curriculum. * Lead for 3 days a week — managing a samll team of teachers and TA's staff, improving teaching standards, overseeing timetables, and driving performance. * Build strong relationships with students and families to create a safe, trusting environment. * Work closely with the programme manager and regional manager to monitor progress and raise outcomes. What You’ll Bring * QTS (or the willingness to work towards it). * A Designated Safeguarding Lead qualification (or readiness to gain it). * Proven experience working with young people who have complex needs and behaviours. * Strong leadership and line management experience — including performance management, coaching, and setting clear goals. * A sound understanding of how to personalise learning and manage behaviour positively and effectively.
