Senior Medical Writer – Oncology Publications

We are partnering with a growing, innovation-driven global diagnostics organisation focused on transforming how cancer is detected and managed. With an established product already approved in the US and Europe and a strong pipeline of next-generation molecular imaging technologies, the company is expanding its scientific communications team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to contribute to high-impact scientific publications that support cutting-edge research in radiopharmaceuticals and cancer imaging.
The Role
Reporting to the Editorial Director, you will play a key role in developing and delivering strategic publication plans across a growing portfolio of manuscripts and scientific congress materials.
You’ll collaborate with internal scientific teams and external thought leaders to communicate important clinical and scientific findings that could shape the future management of cancer.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop high-quality scientific content including manuscripts, abstracts, posters and congress presentations
* Analyse, interpret and summarise complex scientific and clinical data for different audiences
* Support publication planning and delivery across multiple projects
* Incorporate scientific and editorial feedback while ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Maintain high editorial standards and ensure compliance with publication guidelines
* Build strong working relationships with authors, key opinion leaders and cross-functional teams
What We’re Looking For
* PhD in a life sciences discipline (or MSc/BSc with strong relevant experience)
* 3–5 years’ medical writing experience within a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical environment
* Strong experience in scientific publications
* Prostate cancer experience is essential, including at least one publication acknowledging you as the medical writer
* Solid understanding of ICMJE, GPP3 and scientific publication standards
* Ability to interpret complex scientific data and translate it into clear scientific content
* Strong PowerPoint skills for scientific presentations and posters
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
* Experience in medical imaging, PET imaging or radiopharmaceuticals
* Background in a medical communications agency
