Role Overview
The Supply Chain Director, reporting to the VP of Industrial BU, oversees the end-to-end supply chain performance of SGB, including financial and operational metrics. This role ensures alignment between demand planning, sales, financial plans, and product reviews, acting as process owner for SGB’s IBP.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with Safran Seats BU and global strategies.
2. Establish robust procurement processes ensuring quality and timely delivery of materials.
3. Own the SSTs BU Integrated Business Planning process, ensuring consistency across demand, innovation, capacity, and financial plans.
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain transformation, adhering to MRP2 standards.
5. Provide leadership to deploy business vision, objectives, and KPIs across the supply chain organization.
6. Achieve performance goals through sustainable, process-driven practices.
7. Drive lean enterprise practices and implement Safran standards.
8. Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Develop plans to improve work environment, hiring, development, and retention.
10. Promote Safran’s leadership values within the supply chain business.
11. Ensure continuous improvement and alignment across the supply chain network.
12. Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Candidate skills include proven experience with MRP2 principles, supply chain process deployment, CPIM accreditation, and senior leadership experience in complex organizations. Candidates should have a track record in devising and implementing supply chain strategies, P&L responsibility, and a strong background in aircraft interiors. Commercial and technical knowledge of the industry is essential.
