As our Policy & Compliance Officer, you'll be at the heart of protecting our customers and keeping our organisation accountable. You'll take responsibility on developing, implementing and monitoring the policies that guide how we operate - ensuring we meet our legal, regulatory and internal obligations. From identifying risks and maintaining clear, accurate compliance documentation to providing expert guidance across the organisation, your work will uphold the high ethical standards that underpin everything we do.
About the Role
As our Policy & Compliance Officer, you'll help ensure Selwood remains a well‑governed, compliant organisation. You'll maintain strong policy frameworks, monitor adherence to legal and regulatory standards, and work with policy owners to drive continuous improvement. You'll also ensure our policies meet RSH consumer and economic standards and support clear, reliable assurance to the Board and Executive. Your work will reinforce a positive compliance culture that safeguards our customers and the organisation.

What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone who shares our values and brings a clear, structured approach to compliance.
Customer Driven: You recognise how strong policies and clear governance protect customers, and you approach compliance queries with professionalism, clarity and a focus on getting things right.
Accountability: You take ownership of accurate, well‑governed policies - maintaining version control, meeting approval timelines and ensuring compliance activities are delivered to a high standard.
Develop & Learn: You stay curious about regulatory changes and best practice, continually looking for ways to strengthen processes, improve controls and support a culture of compliance.
Champion Communication: You translate complex regulations into simple, practical guidance and work confidently with colleagues across the organisation to ensure everyone understands what's required.
You'll bring:
A degree or equivalent level qualification
Experience of policy management and/or regulatory compliance
Good knowledge UK regulatory frameworks relevant to housing services
Understanding of procurement and contract compliance
Experience working with auditors
Proficiency in IT systems
