Senior Internal Auditor Location: Dorking or Basingstoke Hybrid - 2 days per week in office (At least 1 day per week in Dorking) Unum UK are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. In this role you will leverage your extensive internal audit experience to perform complex audit activities across various business areas. This role demands exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to effectively communicate intricate information to influence senior stakeholders. You will contribute to audit objectives through your audit and business expertise, creativity, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, decision-making, and professional judgment. What will you bring? Key Responsibilities: - Stakeholder Communication: Present and communicate information effectively to stakeholders, navigating complex conversations with ease. - Team Collaboration: Work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team, with minimal direction from management. - Audit Lifecycle Management: Support your team in planning, organizing, researching best practices, and completing the steps of the internal audit lifecycle to assess risk management. - Process Evaluation: Design and execute testing to evaluate the strength and effectiveness of processes and controls using a risk-based approach. - Data Utilization: Utilize data to provide comprehensive insights with a forward-looking approach to mitigate risks. - Mentorship: Act as a mentor and coach to develop, challenge, empower, and share knowledge with team members. - Continuous Improvement: Leverage and continuously enhance your audit knowledge and application of audit principles, practices, frameworks, and methodologies. - Technology Proficiency: Utilize audit management software, data analysis and visualization tools, and productivity software. - Adaptability: Adapt to change and operate with a continuous improvement mindset, maintaining excellent attention to detail and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
