Contract /Hours: Permanent, Full time (40 hours per week)

About the role:

There is an exciting opportunity within Health Services Laboratories located at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, to recruit a Point of Care Testing POCT Officer.

Applications are invited from experienced, committed, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who wish to extend their skills and be instrumental in moving the department into an exciting future.

If you would like to be involved in shaping the future of the pathology services at HSL and hold a Science Degree and experience of working within POCT you are invited to apply.

You will be part of the overall laboratory team responsible for the day to day running of the Pathology service and have specialist oversight and accountability for the POCT provision of the service. This opportunity allows the individual to play an integral part in introducing new methodologies and technologies to provide a service of the highest standard to our clinical service users.

The aim of the role is to provide lead on operational, technical and training and to ensure the safe and efficient provision of POCT services to Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
