Salary up to £35,190.00 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card
42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)
About the role:
We’re on the lookout for a talented and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team, supporting a busy void’s contract in Medway. Having successfully retained our contract for another 10 years we are currently building a strong in-house team to fulfil our commitment of self-delivery for our client Medway Council.
You’ll be working across vacant properties, responding to day-to-day repair requests that cover carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and more. No two days are the same, and your ability to adapt, problem-solve, and deliver excellent customer service will be key to your success.

We’re looking for someone reliable, skilled across multiple trades, and passionate about getting the job done right the first time.
Duties:
1. Replacing or repairing skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames
2. Installing and adjusting kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors
3. Repairing or replacing internal doors, UPVC windows/doors, handles, locks, and hinges
4. Identifying and fixing minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps, and blocked sinks
5. Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings
6. Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing
7. Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works
8. Ensuring all repairs and installs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
9. Garden clearances
10. Participating in out-of-hours emergency repair rota as required
11. Reporting any further works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues beyond scope
12. Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
13. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
14. Manage daily workload efficiently to meet service level targets
Role Criteria:
15. Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)
16. Full UK driving licence
17. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
18. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
19. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
20. Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
21. Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
