We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in East Grinstead. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 1 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and a diagnosis of Autism (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the child's individual learning and emotional needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement strategies from the EHCP
Support the child's social, communication, and behavioural development
Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentRequirements:
At least 6 months' experience working with children (experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable)
Understanding of Autism (ASD) and strategies to support children with additional needs
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for oneWhat We Offer:
