Overview
This job is with University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our busy Pharmacy Production Unit. You will work as part of a team of pharmacists, technicians and assistants preparing sterile medicines, chemotherapy and antibiotic injections.
There is a commitment to regular Sunday and bank holiday working on a rota basis. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Main duties
* You must be reliable, hardworking and able to work to high standards of accuracy and precision.
* You will assist with stock control and be confident using a computer.
* Good communication skills, manual dexterity, and a pass (grade A-C/9-4 in GCSE or equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject are essential.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
* GCSE pass (A-C) in English, Mathematics and a Science subject
* Understands the issues in handling hazardous materials
Desirable criteria
* Understanding of GMP and QA in a manufacturing environment
Experience
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience in a hospital environment
* Previous experience in a laboratory
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
* Good manual dexterity for fine and accurate work
* Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods
* Computer skills including email and word processing
* Understanding of hygiene standards in medicine preparation

* Ability to work under pressure
